doggie update

Some of you have asked me about my doggies. They seem to be getting along better.
The day after the "fight", I kept Flash, the new one, on a tight leash. He drug me all over my yard! I felt like the end of a kite flying behind that dog. After about 30 minutes, I'd had enough. He went back in the pen. He and Max, the older one, only got touchy one time. Max growled, I yanked the leash, my hubby told Max to stop it and everybody was happy.
They act like two brothers. They are constantly picking at one another, trying to annoy one another. Flash stays in Max's old pen, and Max has the whole back yard to roam around in. He'll walk by the pen and just start barking at Flash. Of course, Flash goes nuts and tries his best to get out to "play" with Max. Max will walk by and stop and pee on the gate, knowing Flash can't do one thing about it. Well, Flash gets even as soon as he gets out of the pen. He'll go pee in the pinestraw Max sleeps in. Max has a brand new dog house, with a light, but he prefers to sleep in the straw.
Tonight, Flash pulled one of the best tricks yet. He's already chewed up two covers for our outdoor water spout thingies. My hubby scolded him, and told him not to do it again. Well, last weekend he moved the barrel in front of the water thingie and unhooked the cover so it froze up. Hubby was not happy. Tonight we came home from going out to eat and I said I heard water running. Yup, you guessed it. Flash moved the cover and turned on the water. I fell out laughing. I think Flash drank some water he wasn't planning on drinking! Hubby was really not happy. I'm trying to think of a way to convince the water company that my story is a true one.
I used to go to work and tell stories about my children. Now, I tell stories about my newest children. They are just so funny sometimes, and I can't imagine our life without either of them.
I'm sure more stories are yet to come, but for now, they seem to be getting along much better.

I never imagined how much a dog could get into, especially in a fenced in yard! These two amaze me sometimes.
