a word about our ads

Hello GOLO:
We've seen your blogs and read some of the comments posted about two ads in particular, that have been rotating on the site: The weight loss ad and the Home Depot ad.
I want to let you all know personally, that they are being removed.
While it is important that we have ads, please know that it is not our goal to provide a bad experience or annoy you with them in any way.
We never want to put an ad before you that automatically plays any type of audio without you prompting it to do so. In fact, we are against that entirely.
So, keep the feedback coming, with the complete understanding that we can't always act.
But as we've shown you in the past and will continue to show you, your opinion matters to us a great deal.

BTW Angela, as you may have seen me mention before. I think it would be SO SO SO SO cool, if there was a way to have music, or a theme song of our choice on our profile page. I have seen it in other sites. When you click onto a page, a song starts playing with it.
Would something like that be very complicated to do?

Having to look at almost naked men and women isn't much more tasteful to the public eye. If I wanted a X rated website I'd go find some porno..... How many obese pictures have gone up on golo and numerous posters just loved it being ablt to bash them.

There is a slight difference. Maybe when advertisers, when using pictures like that, could be limited to a 24 hour spot.
