I know very little about the WIC program. I happened to be behind a couple yesterday in the grocery store. They had a lady with them with a folder that said "NC WIC". The couple had 3 separate orders with milk, juice, beans, etc. The cashier was circling things on what looked like a 'check'.
I overheard the lady with the couple say that as of January 6th, you can only buy whole milk if you have a child under a certain age. Otherwise, they can only buy 2%, 1% or skim milk.
Can anyone help me understand how this program works?
