If you really want to laugh, you have to talk to CaryCrazzy. His name serves him in more ways than one. I spent 30 minutes chatting with him yesterday and it was truly the highlight of my day. Meet CaryCrazzy:
Angela: First things first. You pretty much whined your way into this interview. Is that how you typically get what you want?
CaryCrazzy: (Laughs) Yes.
Angela: Does it usually work?
CaryCrazzy: I guess. It did in this case.
Angela: Would you recommend this method for others?
CaryCrazzy: No. It (whining) was especially built for me. It won’t work for everybody. (We both laugh)
Angela: On your profile page you list one of your favorite hobbies as “eating lunch.” Wha…
CaryCrazzy: (interrupts my question) That’s what I ‘m doing right now!!
Angela: What’s so special about lunch?
CaryCrazzy: I get to eat it late. I eat at 2 and finish at 3. I look forward to it everyday. It’s time with myself. Dinner is very crazy. Lunch is the only time I get to eat alone.
Angela: Tell me about dinner.
CaryCrazzy: I still live with my family. My mom is by herself and I live with my siblings. They are always fighting. It’s very crazy.
Angela: How many siblings do you have?
CaryCrazzy: I’m the oldest of five. My sister is 18 and married. My brother is 11, my youngest sister is 7 and my little brother is 3.
Angela: Are you the sane one?
CaryCrazzy: (Laughs…) Pretty much.
Angela: How much longer will you live at home?
CaryCrazzy: Until my mom can get back on her feet. I can’t wait to move out but I‘m waiting for things to go back to normal.
Angela: It sounds like you’re a good son.
CaryCrazzy: I have a lot of responsibilities.
Angela: What’s the worst advice you’ve ever received?
CaryCrazzy: I posted a question on GOLO and someone told me to ‘go hug a tree.’
(We laugh, really hard)
Angela: Did you do it?
CaryCrazzy: No, I didn’t want to hug a tree.
(More laughter)
Angela: That comment would have made many people mad. How are you able to laugh at things like that?
CaryCrazzy: I look at everything on GOLO the fun and exciting way. I want to cheer someone up. I’m always happy. Never sad. I always look at the good side of things.
Angela: So you don’t do well with negative people, do you?
CaryCrazzy: Yes I do. I make fun of them. I don’t have any enemies on GOLO so I think I’m doing a good job.
Angela: What do you think people say about you behind your back?
CaryCrazzy: Oh they say a bunch of stuff. I’ve caught them. Especially in the chat room. Once I leave I know they start talking about me.
Angela: So, you live in Cary. Does Cary get a bad rap?
CaryCrazzy: Yes, of course. That’s why I chose my name because Cary has a bad reputation. (Pauses) You do need like a permit for everything here in Cary. I made up the GOLO permit and people have actually applied for it.
Angela: Did you grant the GOLO permit?
CaryCrazzy: No because my machine broke. I was unable to print one for them
Angela: (Laughs) OMG You ARE crazy!
Angela: What’s the last permit you applied for?
CaryCrazzy: It was for a sign for a restaurant but it was refused for being too close to the sidewalk.
Angela: Will you continue to live in Cary?
CaryCrazzy: Yeah, I’m used to living here. I’m used to all of the nuts here.
Angela: Where do you see yourself in ten years?
CaryCrazzy: Probably under the GOLO name ‘CaryCrazzy101.’
Angela: I’m glad to know you’ll still be on GOLO. Tell me…you find out you’ve got 5 hours to live. What do you do?
CaryCrazzy: I would quickly make a blog on GOLO and let everyone know that I’m leaving. (Wild laughter from both of us)
After the blog, I’ll wait for the comments so that would take about 2 hours.
Then I would spend the rest of the time with my family.
Angela: Do you have any regrets in your young life.
CaryCrazzy: Probably I do. Yeah. I grew up without a father.
Angela: But that’s not your regret to own.
CaryCrazzy: Yeah but I do feel responsible for it. I regret that I wasn’t raised by him.
Angela: Well you can always turn things around. You’re so positive. You can be different.
CaryCrazzy: You’re right.
Angela: What’s your dream job?
CaryCrazzy: To be the next GOLO editor!
Angela: That’s not a dream. It’s a nightmare. (We both laugh. I’m kind of serious but kind of not. Back and forth with this sentiment…)
CaryCrazzy: I would carry a belt at all times.
Angela: So, that’s what I’m missing?
CaryCrazzy: Yeah, you should have a belt.
Angela: What would people find shocking about you?
CaryCrazzy: That I’m very crazy. I am very serious. People who don’t know me that well see me as being very serious. They’d be shocked to know that I’m really outgoing.
Angela: But we already know that on GOLO.
CaryCrazzy: Right but with some people I act like a little angel.
Angela: What’s the one thing you want to do before you die?
CaryCrazzy: Travel the earth.
Angela: If you could take any GOLOer with you who would it be?
CaryCrazzy: Probably my adoptive parents Blah and Naughty Monkey. They keep me in line.
Angela: Anything you want to tell your GOLO peeps before you go?
CaryCrazzy: Just watch out for CaryCrazzy. Don’t poke him or he’ll poke you back.
Angela: It’s been great talking to you Cary. I am going to keep your number. You’re insane.
CaryCrazzy: Thanks!
