need advice on shoes...
Published Dec 17, 2008Views: 523
Ok - so...I'm 31 weeks pregnant. And up until now, my feet have done really well, aside from a few weeks after a car accident in October, I've had no swelling in my feet at all, even after being up on them all day at times. Tonight, I have an office Christmas Party so I dressed up - as "dressed up" as I get, anyway...and when I went to slip on my little Sam & Libby open-backed ballet flats...they WOULDN'T GO ON MY FEET! So, I had to surrender to the Rainbow flipflops - but I obviously can't wear THESE to the party...
So, I thought...okay, since I still have 9 more weeks, I'm certain these balloons that used to be my feet are going to swell even more...what shoes will allow for that? The only thing I can think of...Crocs.
So - my question is this...how safe are they REALLY during pregnancy? I hear horror stories about children & how children shouldn't wear them (and I confess, my DSD is getting a new pair for Christmas - but they aren't like the big holey clown ones) but are they safe for Adults, even??
Also - if you have other shoe brand/style suggestions, PLEASE make them - I have to go shopping at lunch to get some shoes!!
Thanks! (:

Wear your crocks, hun...just walk with care....any slide in your delicate condition could be a danger....
Walking, for me, those last few weeks was a trial in itsself...didn't matter what kind of shoes....I took a spill down my front steps in my eighth month...scared the begeezes outta me....
BE COMFY, and BE CAREFUL....at this point, your health and safety are so much more important than how swollen feet look in a pair of shoes! :)
