we need to remember
Published Dec. 2, 2008While this can be a depressing subject, it is something we need to remember. I came across this poem while doing research on a project that is due tomorrow (nothing like waiting to finish!) and the Holocaust is my subject. Kind of puts things in focus.
We need to remember
the Holocaust.
For all that happened,
and all that didn't.
birthday candles never blown out...
report cards never hung on the
refrigerator door...
hands never held...
dreams never realized...
secrets never whispered...
miracles never witnessed...
triumphs never celebrated...
reunions never attended...
sweaters never borrowed...
moonlight walks never taken...
jokes never told...
last cookies never fought over...
businesses never started...
diaries never hidden...
handy thingamajigs never invented...
games never played...
love notes never written...
fish never caught...
songs never composed...
diseases never cured...
weddings never planned...
goals never reached...
piggyback rides never given...
smiles never inherited...
photographs never framed...
holiday meals never eaten...
first words never spoken...
talents never developed...
novels never published...
gifts never exchanged...
concerts never enjoyed...
marathons never run...
vacations never anticipated...
touchdown passes never thrown...
mixing spoons never licked...
strangers never welcomed...
anecdotes never shared...
equations never solved...
dance steps never learned...
milestones never approached...
friends never made...
traditions never handed down...
lessons never taught...
answers never discovered...

Hey, I like that! I think I’ll borrow it and replace Muslim with Christian for whatever agenda I’m pushing. :)

Yes they are. They either actively participate in the jihad, financially support the jihad, or give it moral support. And if a true muslum tells you otherwise, he is lying.

Yes, but remember, not all Muslims are alike.
God bless.

And no denying the horror of the holocaust, but Staln starved over 7 million Ukrainians, over 20 million 'kulaks' killed; Mao's Great Cultural Revolution cost nearly 30 million lives; Pol Pot purified Cambodia by killing 30% of the entire population in the killing fields and on and on...
Nazism killed millions - communism killed tens of millions.

The one factor that ties the two together is collectivism.
Collectivism has finally come to America.
Gulags and work camps can't be far off....citizen.

As I got older, I realized that those who were of German descent were not the same ones who tried to exterminate the Jews and that I should not harbor any animosity against those subsequent generations. The children of the Nazis find the Holocaust as abhorrant as I do.
Yet now we have another organized group desiring to exterminate Jews and the State of Israel. Like the German people of WW2, there are those who fight, those who support financially, and those who support morally. There are no innocents among them anywhere in the world.
And so help me with God as my witness, should the muslums manage to unleash a weapon of mass destruction against Israel, I will personally slaughter any muslum I find no matter the age, sex, or public profession of nonsupport for those actions.

WWI and WWII became a favorite study interests for me at an early age.
I am glad they still teach about what happened - He who does not remember the past is condemned to repeat it.
