Is anyone else annoyed with the Time Warner Cable commercial about digital phone?
Maybe it is just me, but when the commercial ends the emcee of the commercial says “moving at the speed of sound” it makes me shake my head. What a way to put down your own product. The speed of sound???? Do they really think that their product is that slow?
Sound speed varies with temperature and humidity, so for my example I will assume the air is dry and it is 80 degrees Fahrenheit, which means the speed of sound is 1140.638670166229 ft/s. So let’s place a call from Raleigh to Cape Hatteras, or 248 miles to Cape Hatteras so it will take the call 19.13 minutes to get there. What about Cape Hatteras to San Fran Cali?? Let’s see, that is 3092 miles so it will take 3.9 hours for the call to get there. WOW what a stupid catch phrase for their jingle. LOL
