dog-fighting ring busted in halifax county
Published Dec. 2, 2008Nine men were arrested Sunday morning when Halifax County deputies broke up a dog-fighting ring on a farm east of I-95, authorities said Tuesday.
Chatham County Animal COntrol as well as the sheriff's Dept. know about a man that has or had (haven't checked lately) 20 adult pit pulls. His family moved down here with no jobs during hurricane fran, from maine, with 20 adult pit bulls. They told me that themselves. Go figure....

Interesting comment. I disagree! Some dogs (obviously not all), which were seized from Michael Vick, were also used for fighting and they WERE evenutally socialized and some, adopted. So, I beg to differ with Richardson.
Too bad all these men, as well as all the participants, can't just be shot and be done with. The world really doesn't need this scum. And yes, they ARE scum. Period!
