Television's beloved Florida Evans has died. She was 78. The five-time Grammy winner was also known for roles in the TV shows "Maude" and "Good Times" and the "Roots" miniseries. She won the 1978 Oscar for Best Actress for her role as Maya Angelou playing Aunt Jemima in "The Pancake Diaries." The followup to that movie -- "I Know Why the Syrup if Sweet" -- was critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful. Of that role, Rolle said, "I gave it my all, and I think that all you can ask of anyone. I think I cried every night after filming, but I gave it my all." After her departure from working full-time in television, she continued taking small parts while devoting the rest of her time to running a sausage shop and leading a prison ministry in Southern California.
Roll on Rolle, thy good and faithful servant. Your Heavenly rewards await you.

am I will agree the klan's history is far more violent then the NAACP's but the message and rhetoric from both sides is the same thing... Yes make them out to the National Federation Against Inbreeding and the Spawning of Idiots. On the memo line of the check put this is in reference to your poster child - randy ... please stop the infestation of the human gene pool...
