explains why the apple was offered to eve . . .
Published Nov. 30, 2008After reading DJ's blog this morning on persecution, I began surfing into atheism & it's persecution, the demographics of growing atheism in Europe, USGS river levels in North Carolina, WRAL's various weather reports, Youtube music as always in the background...
...and then I came across a piece of work that may explain which the Serpent offered the "fruit" (which we usually think of an an apple) to the gullible Eve, who then offered it to the equally guillible Adam. When questioned by God about the action, Adam blamed Eve with his now often quoted, "She made me do it" which has been used trillions of times since that Garden of Eden encounter.
But enough of theology. With all this rain I would expect discourses on boats made of gopherwood and animals lined up in reproductive units (Not Adam and Steve, but Adam and Eve) yet again I digress.
In the course of my electronic ramblings I came across this little "So Happy Together" video which may bring a smile to your face as it did mine. I hope so anyways.

Of course the apostle Paul (in his epistles) was no more generous regarding the roles of women. Women were plainly told to be obsequious and subservient to their husbands, obeying them in all matters as they would obey the lord. A very sweet deal...if you're a man, at least. ;-)

in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
