Yeah buddy! Love that human kindness. Earlier, the article included in the headline that a Pregnant woman was stampeeded by same said crowd.. may have miscarried. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
And people ask my why I'm so synical. This is crazy.
Just yesterday, in a blog, I mentioned why I don't shop after Thanksgiving. Every 5 years or so I might, because I need to be reminded how retarded and selfish and rude and obnoxious people can be and not to do it again.
I was corrected in the blog that I was wrong and that I must have just had bad experiences alone. LOL I'm thinking now, I wonder what experience that clerk's family is going to have? Or the pregnant woman and her husband?
People - matierial is S H I T. It is nothing. You can't take it with you. And guess what? It is fluff you and your spouse and your kids (or relatives) can live without. Take it from someone who lost EVERYTHING down to a garbage bag with 2 changes of clothes in it. It just doesn't mean anything.
You, your family, the roof over your head... those are what is important and those things are what you should be cherishing. NOT fighting for that 52" flat screen TV that you don't "NEED" in the first place and certainly not enough to act like said people in above article.
My experiences humbled me like nothing I thought possible. I enjoy giving gifts. But I try to make them very personal to each person. Something that comes from my heart. The most materialistic thing my daughter is getting for Christmas is a lap top bag so she'll have something to put her laptop in when we travel cross-country to Washington (which means she'll get it early).
What does it say about us, when we actually have people telling us the "safe" way to "re-gift" something because we get a bunch of crap that we don't need or want. Most of which becomes dust collections in our homes.
Please, this Christmas - take heed and look around at what you have and be thankful and enjoy it and hold close to you those most dear. Give them something from your heart - not your wallet
And for Pete's sake.... be respectful of people around you if you are shopping.
