What's better than staring at a fake turkey centerpiece while you chow-down on the real deal? Having the salt and pepper within reach without asking Uncle Bob seven seats away to pass the salt. By the time it reaches you, all seven people in-between have decided they, too, wish to partake in the pleasure of a salt & pepper seasoned meal and intercept your request. Five minutes later, the salt and pepper finally reach your plate. At the moment your hand finally closes around the salt shaker, Aunt Susan deems it necessary (in front of the entire family) to remind you of your high blood pressure by sharply asking, "Do you really think you should be eating MORE salt?" Ahhh... the joyful memories of Thanksgiving. There's always some new experience each year!
