In just three more days, the wait will be over. No more dreaming, no more salivating, no more imagining the smell of turkey filling the air. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be on TV, the in-laws will be huddled around the kitchen spreading gossip, and Uncle Joe will claim his corner of the couch nearest the heat for the entire evening.
Speaking of Uncle Joe, one of my uncles proposed that we deep fry the turkey this year. How do you make your turkey? Do you roast it in the oven? Do you shove it in the crockpot? Do you deep fry it? What are your secrets to having the perfect turkey, no matter which way you slice it?

I like it cooked in the oven the old fashioned way.
While at Food Lion last week, we saw something unusual. I don't remember the name, but it was turkey, duck, chicken, sausage and stuffing all in one box.
