Speaking of tornados......

Or any disaster for that matter, have you thought about your personal belongings? More specific having them insured. Even more specific having an inventory at the ready for your insured personal belongings. I saw part of the footage from the tornados and thought how bad it would be not only to lose everything, but having to document every item for insurance purposes? It's a major pain in the ass! When my parents house burned down a few years ago I had to help my Dad and it took a couple of weeks to do it and he had something in his hand to go by. Granted it was burnt to a crisp, but at least he had an idea what it was. With a tornado you might not have anything as it could be scattered for miles. I've gotten a lot of mine done, but still have a ways to go. Having an inventory will do a couple of things. It will give you piece of mind and make after the disaster a lot easier. Plus when you start doing it, you'll realize how much crap you have and you'll start throwing away/selling what you don't want to keep. Just something to think about as we never know what tomorrow will bring...................................
