I think this needs to be posted non-stop until the polls close on Tuesday, because nothing could epitomize just how dangerously ignorant and unqualified Barack Hussein Obama is than this long-covered up but recently disclosed interview.

You libs will not try to defend this on what he says. You will attack me, you will attack conservatives, you will claim he didn't mean it - but you will not be capable of addressing what this man intends to do in an intellectual fashion.

You can oppose this, but don't act like this is some new idea.

You people REALLY think that "carbon tax" won't be a pass through cost to the consumer AGAIN? Really?
Shear logic also dictates that OLD coal plants should be taxed for carbon MORE than new plants because of the older plant's inefficiencies.
The other logic point is that about 65-75% of the nation's electrical generation is fired with coal. You people really think that Mr. Magic can change that to "alternatives" anytime soon?
Finally, wind works only where and when the wind blows and you STILL need back-up generators running off of WHAT so you get a reliable supply of power? Solar works LESS than half the time and you need batteries with toxic lead, nickel or lithium metals to store what power you DO get.

No. I am not ignorant. I support Obama but I am not ignorant. I'm not calling you names for supporting McCain. And I WILL apologize right now for referring to McCain as Cotton Hill in the past once or twice. You know, the Grandpa from King of the Hill? So many similarities...
Tuesday night will be here before we know it and I hope things get better afterwards. Oh! There I go "hoping" again!

Also, I didn't really see anyone on the attack but you. Go back and read what you wrote.
BTW, slick rick--I joined Pickens Plan months ago. Smart man. What's so bad about wind turbines?

Take a read for yourself:
http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2008/01/capandtrade101.html
In defense of BOTH McCain and Obama, industries that choose to build factories would be strongly urged to do so using some form of "clean" technology. If they can build it using a "clean coal" technology, then that would be great. If they build it using the same equipment that has been used over the last 80 years, then it would definitely not serve that company well. If they can't meet the emissions "Cap", then they will have to "Trade" with companies that have exceeded their "cap" and have extra credits available. If they can do this successfully, then there would be no fines - if not, there WILL be fines.
This is just one of many cases (immigration being another) that BOTH candidates have VERY SIMILAR views, which is why you don't hear either of them talking about these issues.....because they both agree on them

oh, well. Low battery light is on.
As I suspected, no one could actaully defend what he said on an intellectual level. (Well, except builder, who admitted the left wing wants to banckrupt the coal industry.)
I will leave this blog for the Obama lickspitles to continue to rationalize his recipte for economic disaster.
Shalom, y'all.
