Published Oct. 15, 2008

This is a global poll that readers Digest did to contact 17 countries and ask them if they could vote who would they vote for.  Page 106 of reader's digest Written by Carl M. Cannon.  Because I'm not good enough to make a column set up I wish to tell you that the numbers on the left are for McCain and the numbers on the right  are for Obama and the numbers represent percentages. The authors explanation for the discontent of republicans was the Bush era and the war on Iraq. So Americans you are not alone

"It really doesn't matter who they want now does it!"

If you're an isolationist, well then no, I guess it doesn't. But it's difficult for our country to take such a stance when we're currently borrowing foreign money to a fairly large degree, now, isn't it?

"Slick.....I thought better of you.

You fall to the left I presume. Oh well, to each his own."

ummmm..ok. ouch?

hardcharger: "Obama said McCain adviser Henry Kissinger backs talks with Iran “without preconditions,” but McCain disputed that. In fact, Kissinger did recently call for “high level” talks with Iran starting at the secretary of state level and said, “I do not believe that we can make conditions.” After the debate the McCain campaign issued a statement quoting Kissinger as saying he didn’t favor presidential talks with Iran. " http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/factchecking_debate_no_1.html

the big question over this whole thing was whether or not the meetings should be at the presidential level. obama never said that should be the case, and he never said that kissinger suggested the president meet with iran. mccain tried to make it sound like obama said the president should meet, although obama never said that. kissinger agrees that these meetings should begin at the secy of state level, and only progress to the presidential level if both sides are close to a final

I want the list of people polled and their phone numbers. I don't belive any of the polls. I know how they target where they want their answers in their favor. Whoever gets in so be it, maybe we can focus then on how to live and keep the government out of our personal affairs! Wish they would leave me alone.

Slick.....I thought better of you.

You fall to the left I presume. Oh well, to each his own.

how are you direclty affected by 'islamic influence' currently? just wondering....

yeah hardcharger - it's not you - It's EVERYONE else......whole countries....

slik rick da rula - It's plain and simple, if you want to further Islamic influence in America, elect a man with strong Islamic blood in his immediate family.

After all, it's a global community. I am not contributing to Islam making inroads into American government. It would be like electing a guy with strong German or Russian family after WWII.

People certainly can elect anyone they like, I just don't think they can put 1 & 1 together on this matter.

that just proves one thing those other countries are dum as cr&p to.

I have swung so much in my decisions my head is spinning. I don't think I can make a decision. I really think after seeing McCain in action he's not tough enough to fight with words. He haggles all the time but he never gets anywhere to getting his way. Then Obama I'm a little afraid of his inexperience and his fast moving pace is leaving me behind and where is all the money coming from to pay for all the goodies. I think I've changed my mind half a dozen times I think I just may stay out of the vote completely. After all it's the first time I've tried to anyway. That way I can skip all the political blogs.
