da: accused marine might remain in mexico
Published Oct. 13, 2008An appeal by Mexican attorneys for Cpl. Cesar Laurean has raised the possibility that he might not be extradited to face charges in the slaying of Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach.
This is so ridiculous it makes my head hurt. Let the USMC extradite him for AWOL. Let them try him for the murder too.....the DA can turn the case over to the military for prosecution and it has been done before. A life sentence in Leavenworth would be worse than one in Raleigh Central Prison!!
This guy deserves the worst that could happen because he is a total waste of space and oxygen!! I am sure if money passed hands someone would take care of him.....

Laurean has appealed a Mexican court's September ruling to send him to the U.S. One of the arguments presented by his Mexican attorneys is that a life sentence in prison without the possibility of parole violates the extradition treaty between the U.S. and Mexico, according to Dick McNeil, Laurean's attorney in North Carolina.
We're all saying this is the time the USA needs to step in and let Mexico know that we are tired of their countrymen murdering ours and then hiding out in their government. He should of been captured when he was found by the government and automatically shipped back if they want us to work with all the illegals that are here. If not, we will simply deport them all as fast as we find them to avoid these murders running in the future.

And in Mexico, lives are often a dime a dozen, especially in their prisons.
God bless.
