Obama to Plumber: My Plan Will 'Spread the Wealth Around'
"Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed "more and more for fulfilling the American dream."
"It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success too," Obama responded. "My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody ... I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

You can vote for him if you want but he's told all of you, up front, exactly what he intends to do IF he gets elected.

What's stopping you? You can legally write a check to the U.S. government and have them spend it anyway you would see fit. But, for most people, volunteering to help out others is called charity and is something you do on your own, not something that is forced onto you.

I doubt any of you would like it if I or one of your neighbors knocked on your doors and demanded you give me money. Obama supporters seem to want this to happen. Be careful what you wish for.
Remember when Clinton got elected by promising tax cuts to the middle class? What happened? Oh, yeah, he told us that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't find a way to make the tax cut work, and increased our taxes.
Obama wants to implement tax increases to those who hire employees (increasing corporate taxes is essentially a tax on the goods purchased by us, so we're hit again). He wants to have universal health care. He wants to eliminate the Bush tax cuts (will be the largest tax increase in our history).
Say hello to the Carter years revisited.

Checks and balances and Congress have nothing to do with goals, policies, idealogies and agendas created by the President. Regardless if the policies are actually realized or not, they are still HIS policies, and by default become the policies of HIS administration.

It stillboils back down tht the president cna't do anything unless congress approves it. Even goin into Iraq...............They can stop any of his policies they wish by voting it down. Ome man and especially the pres can't do it without help from congress. Thats a fack Jack. The the reasoning behind our checks and balances in Washington.

Folks, defend Bush all you want, from here until the cows come home, the moon turns blue, and pigs do backflips, but no-one else can be held accountable for the President's policies except for the President himself.

I realize that NAFTA was passed by a Rep Congress and a Dem president, but the deregulation started far earlier.

None of these blogs will change my opinion, nor yours I suspect. I go for tried and true areas of unbiased reporting....not that there is much of that left anymore!!

McCain, however, gives me the willies.
And I know that the change is going to be scary, but the CHANGE IS ALREADY HERE. Nothing McCain proposes recognizes that fact, nor will it do anything other than continue the mess we're in now.
