For the good of the nation which wouldn't hold up now because with present views, everyone needs to go to college or be considered a failure.
Forty years ago that wasn't so. Blue class workers were respected because we understood they were the backbone of the country.

In fact, I think that's one reason why it was done away with to begin with, they couldn't think of way to tell mommies and daddies they were going to take their little girls away for a couple of years, and under EEOC, they couldn't just take boys without facing lawsuits.

The only problem is - few of our military branches have adequate facilities for women AND men.
But if there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that the most scary sentence in the world is...
"I have PMS and a gun."

But with the way that the financial sector is and the potential impact on student aid, those rich kids will likely be poor when they are done with college.
Good point. I never did hear a good explanation of he college deferment. How was that justified?
