issues, anyone?
Published Oct. 13, 2008Instead of talking in circles about what party hates what race (and why), how about something a bit more substantive? For discussion, a question Obama and McCain were asked during the last debate:
Is health care in America a privilege, a right, or a responsibility?

Leo-NC & slip kid:
Folks who have never experienced V.A. care are clueless to what you both refer. I use it for the free (service connected)medications (only certain meds on their formulary; no new or cutting edge meds), but have learned from being a V.A. patient and employee that it's not the choice for anything serious. There are always exceptions, ie. someone receives top notch care. But that's not the rule in my experience.

I'm tired of whiners complaining about college debt and other expenses that makes health insurance beyond their reach. You don't have to go to the most expensive school to get a job.
I'm tired of single moms complaining about how tough they have it. Try this, "Keep your legs closed!" You have one kid, learn from it.
This isn't rocket science! If you are not where you want to be in the U.S., take a look in the mirror! That's there the responsibility rests!

I have a friend that had a knee replacement because she could no longer walk and the pain was unbearable. I don't think she considered this elective since she would have been in a wheelchair without it. And it was no fault of hers that it needed to be done. She just has bad knees. She is slim, exercises regularly, eats right, and couldn't walk from the car to the office building because of the pain.
