That case is very sad indeed. I really feel bad for this lady; even younger people don't really understand the difficult language of loan terms, and often rely on the honesty of the lender. This lady must have done exactly that. What a horrible feeling it must be, at 90 years old, to have someone come in and tell you you have to leave your home.

I got to get up with the chickens in the morning. I got a doc appointment. My best friends mom, she's been like my mom since 78 when I lost mother, is not going to make it I don't' think with her cancer. They removed the bladder two weeks ago but she never gained her strength back and the cancer had broken through to the glands. At her age she's still not able to walk so they got her in rehab hoping to build her up so they can give her chemo. This is like loosing my mom all over again. I wrote a blog on the kid killed and some jerks on here have to make nasty comments not realizing the families of these people in our area read our blogs sometimes. I've had people involved who have said they do, and saying something insincere only hurts them. Why do people like to do that. One even thought it was silly to say prayers for strangers and suggested I got help them myself if I was so concerned. Some people must of had some nasty parents raise them to carry the attitudes I see.

man-i WAS trying to be nice. she took it the wrong way and when she deleted a comment on her profile to please look at the blog and read what i wrote-she deleted it. if you know me, i am not a fighter but, i will hold my own when i feel i am right. now, you are so right about all this. even if the government buys the mortgages from the banks, what are they going to do with them. here sits so many people out of homes and on the streets-old folks and children. if they could put the money thing aside these people wouldn't have to be homeless. these are peole that are working or were, trying to make ends me. i went to a home to buy something listed on craiglist to find out that they had been paying their rent all along and the owner wasn't paying his payments. a week before i went there, a man came to the door to foreclose. he was kind enough to give these two women and two children a week to get out! makes more sense to let them stay and keep paying the bank. greed!

It is sad. It's also sad that there are people right here in our own state who are very sick and dying because they can't afford to purchase their medications any longer. Duke_Blue_for_Lyfe

If you know anyone who is saying they are not able to get medications please have them check with their doctor There is a 800 number that you can sign up if you have no other medical insurance to help pay for drugs. it's partners for drug and it's been advertised on TV for over a year you may of seen it. This program works and it's helped many people. I'm sure if you google it you can find it. They are very lenient on income as well. I was surprised at the help a friend of mine got.

Hello since this seems to be pi**ed off day for golo people I have gotten back up and hanging out with the hoot owls. Yes this is sad. I was wondering at her age had she already paid for the house and then went and mortgage it or did someone give a older woman a mortgage like that. I can't understand why a 90 year old would be trying to keep up mortgage payments anyway. It's a shame she didn't have someone to talk to. She could have walked away and let them have that thing back and move in a senior center. To be sure those scoundrels didn't lend a 70 or 80 year old money to buy a house. If she had previously owned it she would have been better off with a reverse mortgage on it.

Instead of bailing out banks...bail out America. I am sick of money going where it doesn't need to go. Banks and War is killing America. Jobs are going to foreign countries. What is next? Some people can't afford decent healthcare. Gas it at an all time high especially in North Carolina. People who have lost their jobs can't afford gas to find another one. They are losing house, cars...no adequate transportation in North Carolina to get around to find jobs. This is a sign of the times.
