Sunday
It’s Sunday and time for church (if that’s your thing.) Maybe an early morning trip to the stream, pond or beach for some fall fishing. How about some golf, a trip to the flea market, or a picnic by the lake? Man! These are all great ideas but this list is surely not all-inclusive. Truth is, the day is open to your favorite thing to do; no plans necessary. Just imagine it then do it.
Sunday is a perfect day for family oriented hours of fun, fun, and more fun. Kids like adventure, moms and dads may just like to be “laid back.” These two may not always mix but if you are into planning a Sunday then you can make it work.
Take for example that picnic by the lake. The kids can chase nature while the old folks just lounge around the food basket nibbling on a chicken leg. That brings me to the menu for this outing. I really like chicken but I want it cold not hot. And there is my always favorite of a Carolina Packers, Bright Leaf hot dog, cooked well done and even showing a little blackened skin now and then. Boiled eggs are a necessity along with crackers and salt and pepper. Potato salad will come in very handy for the kids and me. This is not the time for coffee but instead an ice cold soda (the real glass bottle kind.) When the party time is over please “police up” the refuse and deposit securely in the waste cans.
No matter what you choose to do on this particular Sunday, remember this is Sunday and it has been made for you. Make every Sunday your Sunday and have fun.
