If we act like we are a loose cannon, the LEO will tighten up. The officer is supposed to be in control of the situation after the blue light comes on.
I suggest we all think about our best responses to LEOs to get the business done, the stop over, and have our day in court, if need be.

I've been searched three times. I've had to lay on the ground, guns drawn, once, and all those times the LEO was fair to me . I've had a trooper carry me home 15 miles after rolling off a remote mt dirt road. I'm happy with LEOs so far, after decades. I actively try NOT to have conflict.
On the third time I was pulled in one day (in my 20s) I asked the officer why me? "you drive slow, stay to the right, touching the line, and just have that "look." He was right.
Bottom line, I don't have a problem with LEOs after dozens of encounters.

Possible, but we are taught to specifically "notice" stuff like that during our approach that it could be a signal that the person may be a "viable" suspect for illegal activity simply for having that sticker, or blue lines, or FOP stuff - basically, I got dope, but I got these stickers here too, so maybe they wont notice me and think I'm one of them. It can work both ways. I've stopped a car full of mexicans with a blue line sticker on the windshield for an expired tag, that incidentally didnt even go to that car *ficticious tag charge* and of course "no saves engles y no tengo licensio"

I am a careful driver, just because I hate having to tell my husband that I got a ticket mainly, though.
Had any wifes crying not to give them a ticket because their husbands will kill them for getting another ticket, yet?

hahaha its just all technique that leads to good copping is all. The best traffic stops that garner some serious stuff are the chance encounters. But its certain little things that we look for that make everyone else stand out. The longer you stay in this business, the easier the little butterflies start to tell you when things are not right here. People often wonder "good lord, how did the cops find all that, and they were both innocent looking elderly people too!!" Its just all technique - little teeny-tiny things that our little internal radars home in on...

Didn't bother him evidently, since he wants to be a LEO.
