food stamps for illegal aliens

Does it make you mad to see illegal aliens use food stamps?

I was in Food Lion last night and saw this couple using their food stamp card.  The cashier forgot to ring something up.  The husband or father to the 3 small children pulled out a wad of cash.  Must have been at least 3k.  I was looking him over and noticed his cowboy boots.  Had to be alligator.  Then I looked at his Stetson...nice.  I was fortunate enough to see them in the parking lot.

I dream of the day when I can drive an Escalade!  Now I am not predjudice. He may very well be legal and run his own successful contracting company.

I do all the shopping in my household, and I see this all the time.  I've commented to my favorite cashier where I regularly shop. She said that 90% use food stamps in our store and most dont speak very good English.  I guess they are all legal.  What do you think?

Make them prove they are legal citizens and pass a drug test before giving them food stamps.

Most of them are not even aware that most of us do not think that is is right that they get assistance. They are told, by Americans, that it is the norm, and that assisting them is something that the goverment happily does. When they become pregnant, they have all of these assistance papers crammed in their faces, and filled out for them by AMERICAN social workers. Again, they think, "wow, this country really is great". They are taught that it is the norm, and do not even know that we do not all get the same treatment. If Canada, or Mexico gave free health care, or food, or money to American citizens, then I garantee that Americans would flood to those places!!!!

They take their 8 year old that can speak and read both. I'm sure all forms now have a spanish side to them.

If they can't speak or read english how do they find out about the food stamps and the WIC program?? It beats me..... and when we need to use the system they say "you don't qualify"

Here is another one of my issues. Learn to speak the ENGLISH language. If you want to live here then be able to communicate. If I moved somewhere and it was another language I would learn to speak it. That gets on my nerves as much as people not wanting to get off their rearends and go to work.

JohnnyMalaria - I know that but I was just saying that some hispanics come over here because they know our system stinks. I am not blaming just one race. It is all races that take advantage of the system and our goverment allows it. We just need some changes and I don't see any ever coming.

Does anyone see the connection in electing the David Prices, Brad Millers and Bob Etheridges? They vote the party line, which advocates liberal activist judges who interpret law to their own benefit. Meaning ILLEGAL aliens have just as many rights as you the taxpaying citizen. Thus producing a new round of voters to keep them empowered and elected. Who do you think that guy in the Stetson and Escalade is going to vote for the 1st Tuesday in November?

I am sure ACORN is going to get him registered to vote! Think about it before you pull the lever for one of the three stooges: David, Brad or Bob!

con amor - I agree it is the goverments fault but I also believe that the people who take advantage of the system like the ones unity was talking about are just plain trash. I don't care what race they are. Ths will always be a problem because none of our goverment has the guts to revise the welfare system.

If you are born in the US, you are automatically a US citizen - even if you don't want to be(!)

I suspect it is a constitutional issue.

Let me add that if the parents are illegal then when they have babies they should not be considered Americans. Those children should be able to apply at the age of 18 to become legal Americans if born here. Maybe that would stop people from coming over here and taking advantage of our broke system. We should do like they do in the Bahamas. There is no welfare system. You only get help if you are disabled.
