surprise! a member of congress wants to get to the bottom of their own role in the fanniemae/freddiemac ripoff of the taxpayers
Published Oct. 7, 2008Chris Shays rips into the committee that wants to only investigate "the crooks on Wall Street" and ignore the role the Congress payed in our financial mess. He cites NUMEROUS occasions where oversight should have occurred, but didn't, and has formally requested the minutes and documents of those hearings be placed in the public record.
I'm going to watch it again, but I must say BRAVO, and the look on Waxman's face is priceless. He's obviously not happy that this will become available for the public to read...
