what would you do if you win the lottery?

Published Oct. 6, 2008

While taking a break from walking the paths of Oakwood, the other day, this question came up: What would you do if you win the lottery?

Although I could probably think of a million things to say when someone is not asking the question, I could not come up with anything in particular.

What about you? What would you do? Would you buy a bigger house? Cars? Would you travel? Donate to charities?

Have a great evening, everybody!

1. Buy front page of the newspaper with my pic holding the lotto check. The headline would say " I DON'T KNOW NONE OF YOU" 2. Pay off the mortgage on my parents and the inlaws. 3. Pay off my mortgage. 4. Quit work. I would be a liability to the town as an employee and big lotto winner. 5. Start large college fund for my kids. 6. Start large retirement account for wife and I. 7. Give nice donation to my church, or establish some type of fund for the church. 8. Invest as a silent partner in a business that I would love to have. 9. Go to Disney World!

Claim it as late as the rules allow. I am happy with my life now, and while I am not going to turn down the money, I would want to experience what I have now for as long as possible because the money will change things.

Lake or beach house. A very fast car. Remodel my existing home. Pay everything off. Ride around on a Harley and other than that, just piddle. Donations too, of course. Take care of my kid.

I would follow Dave Ramsey's Advice. Get out of debt, pay off my house, Tithe, support the M.O.R.E project, go on a 2 week vacation, and continue to build my MonaVie business. How fun is that!

Other than the general tithe it, get out of debt and take care of the fam thing?

I'd probably quit my job and go to school the rest of my life. First on my list would be law school, then I'd go get degrees in everything else I'm interested in. I'd be so smaarrrrrttttt :)

Oh ... and a trust fund for my kid. Not much, maybe a million or so, that she doesn't know about, and can't get her paws on until she's 40, and only if she turns out decent. Other than that she'd be forced to earn everything like normal people do ... none of this brand new car on her 16th birthday garbage or living like a rich kid.

I'd set up a Trust fund for my children & grandchildren.

I also like to think I'd be able, one day, to build the small chapel our church has been wanting for many many years.

?? LOL! Is there something we don't know about conservative women?

Sleep with a lot of conservative women.

Thank you, wheat! :)

Sandra you and your husband can come too
