Most polls are showing Obama and McCain neck and neck.
I wonder into the near future this will qualify NC as a "purple" state in future national elections...

My entire immediate and extended family will be voting for Obama on November 4th. I polled them recently at the family reunion. I have a mix of military veterans and hardcore Republicans in my fam. BTW my family is white. My grandmother who is 90 years old will be casting her vote for Obama.

Vice versa for me. Other than my old stubborn dad and my bible-beating sister, I don't know a single person voting for Grandpa and the She-Slayer.

Do you know the difference between a flower and a hockey mom?
Answer: One has both male and female reproductive parts, and one's a flower. ZING!

I hear that McCain is ahead with the inbreds in the latest Public Policy Inbred Poll. It is okay that you think he is a racist. I personally think that McCain is an old out of touch moron.

I'm not a statistician, but from what I remember from classes I took decades ago, the size of the population is less important than the size of the sample. That is, there is still some minimum number you need in your sample in order to have any meaningful results, even if your total population is small.
The smaller the sample, the bigger the margin for error.
All that being said, I doubt these results. They are too contrary from historical results, even on less controversial races. All these races will be very close in Wake County IMO.
