studley: blog snips and snails, and puppy-dogs' tails
the family i'm proud to claim...
Published Sep. 21, 2008"Snudley LOL. Hang in there. You are a strong person. Surround yourself with your friends who love and support you. You will make it. If the family comes around great, if not... Well I hope they will. Just take care of you." --Grumpy-Not
"Hi Mike, I think perhaps, that your mother and my mother may be twins, seperated at birth. When she directed her venom one too many times, and this time, at my daughter...I had to say, enough was enough. It happens sometimes. I'm sorry it happened to you, too." --Gingerleigh225
"Thanks for the words of encouragement, granted family is forever, especially considering one's mother. I only have one mother and being who I am, she's very important to me, but I have to keep my own well being in mind, first and foremost... /That/ is the bottom line, I'm sure you'll agree. Thanks" --Studweiser
People talk a lot of smack about Golo... Granted there are those that strive on continual drama, there are many people here who have really kept my spirits high, and THAT means the world to me. Thank you so much. Honestly I could never fully explain the sheer depth of my gratitude to all those that offer such kind words and valuable advice. I am known to not smile very often, but there are some here that really make me shine from my heart. YOU are the ones who bring me to tears. xoxo
It's said that you cannot choose your family, however, I feel that family can definately choose you, and you, my friends, I feel are my true family.

Amen to THAT!! You stick to that statement and you WILL come out of this the better person in all of this! I, too, know all to well what you have been going through. One day I may tell my 'story'. And trust me, it's NOT for the faint of heart.

I have been a catch all my entire life, both of my parents dropped out of college when I was born... My dad left engineering school, me mother left law school, I cannot count the times I have been told about that.
It was their choice not mine, yet I catch grief for it, how does that work? I hope it will pass at some point, and honestly, I'd think it would have happened by now, as both of my parents are in their 50s... I don't really know what to make of it. Maybe washing their hands of me is their way of moving on and I hope it brings them happiness. I've spent my entire life trying to make my parents happy at the cost of my own.
