Published Sep. 7, 2008Mine weighs 22 lbs, 4 legs, and somehow takes up most of my queen bed. I squeeze in where I can, and sometimes get the corner of the pillow. If I try to sneak back in there for a few, she will re-position, and of course I get this rump pressed against me. She has to touch me. She is a virtual heating pad which is great in the winter. Am I complaining? Naw she is a great bed buddy. Guess I'll wash the sheets when she decides to get up.
OK... (washing the sheets). BTW, I have this really tall antique bed, so tall I removed the box spring and the mattress rests on the slats. But my girl is a jumper, she gets up there effortlessly.

During his training, I would wake up in the middle of the night with him hogging the bed again. It was then that I figured out that he would wait until I started snoring to jump on the bed.
A few months ago he went blind from spinal meningitis and he can't jump up on the bed no more. Now, I almost wish he could. He sleeps close by though with plenty of pillows, blankets and even an electric blanket if he needs it.
