danriverboy: blog danriverboy's blog
in jest (sort of anyway)
Published Sep. 6, 2008Since it seems like our national passtime has become detesting the other side of our personal political persuasion, why don't we just acknowledge that we can't stand one another & go ahead and split up?
We'll take the traditionally Democratic states of Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. That's just 17 states.
You guys can have the other 33, and we'll all get together and flatten DC before we part ways.
Sound like a good idea? :-D

By the way, Johnny M. is most correct: 'Deliverance' was indeed filmed in Georgia along the Chatooga River. I've been down it several times on whitewater rafting trips. It's a great river to ride; I highly recommend it. Luckily, I didn't have to "squeal like a pig"!
And as for getting along, James Carville and Mary Matalin have been married for 20 or so years and they're definitely polar opposites.

I always find it amusing the conservaties use red which everywhere else is the traditional color for socialism and communism.
