where is the palin assault coming from?
Published Sep. 5, 2008Is there some kind of unified effort to put out NOT personal thoughts and opinions but quoted materials about Palin? I'm seeing the same stuff in several places about the same time.
Maybe it is coincidence, but if not, is that manipulation of the internet?
Can we trust we are reading one another's blogs or are we being given packaged materials that have planned, intended purpose?
Some of you watch out for this, and report it if it is happening. Maybe everyone and everything is being manipulated and we are being used, or maybe not, and this is a free forum in the net and everything is what it seems.
At the end of August, going into the Republican convention, I'm sure that the Democrats still have the national election won. it is ours to win or lose, and I tell you, Democrats find defeat despite obstacles. Democrats are beaten by their own extremes, and by preaching to the choir or showing off for one another.
This is a mostly Republican list, I know, and NC will go republican, probably, but we can't judge the rest of the country by what we see and hear around us. Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan are being kept out, but Move On is moving on, and they might mess up. Al Franken has his own battle. The movie stars have been shut up, finally.
Well, people don't like being fooled or used, and if that is going on on the net, then while a few votes might be had, many more will be lost.

I reject the faulty premise of your question - where si it that both sides are not presented that needs the 'left' to press for legislation to make sure it's fair - your argument is factually baseless.

I also don't think that there will ever be a candidate that hits all the "right" marks with any particular person...we all have different thoughts on everything...
It's a judgment call, and a lot of faith that this person (people) will do what they say they will....which is also what we want to hear...what else would they say...
But back to the point, if it's not all aired out...we'd be nag nag nagging about that too!!!!!!! Too much, not enough....we can never be pleased!

Sure, stockholders do, and those individual stockholders are free to say whatever they feel like saying. The corporation, however, which is a legal entity, is the entity presenting the information on the airwaves under the terms of a license granted by the FCC. It, as a non-person, enjoys no such constitutional protections or guarantees.
"Restrictions of free speech are not in keeping with ideals of freedom - liberals want to restrict the freedom of speech as displayed by their own actions - proving once again that liberalism has nothing to do with liberty."
Once again, corporations do not enjoy freedom of speech guarantees, especially ones that are operating under the restrictions / conditions imposed in a license.
You still haven't answered my question, however. How is anyone damaged or harmed by having all sides of the issues presented to the public in a balanced way?

Don't individuals own corporations?
Or do you want to nationalize these corporations?

The Constitution addresses individual rights. Remind me again when it started giving rights to corporations?

The main thing about blogs and comments is that we get to see how other people are thinking, first hand. We used to have to rely on the few callers on talk radio.
I used to run gas marts, and David Price stopped in to ask how I thought people were thinking. He is since entrenched in office and I don't think he worries. Polls are polls.
NC will go for McCain IF they get the vote out. Obama is going to get a large vote out, for sure.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
That's why I see it as a negative - tell me again how liberals love freedom.....I need a good laugh.
