From the City of Raleigh:
Several streets in Downtown Raleigh will be closed to accommodate Raleigh Wide Open 3 festivities on Friday and Saturday.
The following streets will be closed from 6 p.m. Thursday until 1 a.m. Sunday:
· The 100 through the 400 blocks of Fayetteville Street;
· Hargett, Martin, and Davie streets between Salisbury and Wilmington streets; and,
· Salisbury Street between Cabarrus and South streets.
In addition, streets will be closed to accommodate Saturday's parade that begins at 6 p.m. The parade will assemble at the intersection of Salisbury and Hillsborough streets. It will then proceed south on Salisbury Street to Morgan Street, east on Morgan to Fayetteville Street, south on Fayetteville to Davie Street, west on Davie to Salisbury Street, and then south on Salisbury to the new Raleigh Convention Center for disassembly.

Also, the fireworks were kind of lean, but maybe they're saving the bulk for tonight.
God bless.

From last year, my advice is to get their early and be prepared to jump quickly on a parking spot. Of course, there are many decks downtown, which you'll be able to use. But you may find yourself walking a pretty fair distance if you find a spot on the street. As I recall, we were lucky and found a parking spot near Moore Square and only had to walk a few blocks.
