karl rove on selecting a vice president
Published Sep. 4, 2008There is a blog on this, with a link to Jon Stewart's segment from last night. But since not all can view, I thought it would be nice to see the thoughts Karl Rove had about Obama possibly selecting Tim Kaine, Governor of Virginia and former Mayor of Richmond, as his Vice President nominee.
From CBS Face the Nation on August 10, 2008
With all due respect again to Governor Kaine, he's been a governor for three years, he's been able but undistinguished," Rove said. "I don't think people could really name a big, important thing that he's done. He was mayor of the 105th largest city in America."
Rove continued: "So if he were to pick Governor Kaine, it would be an intensely political choice where he said, `You know what? I'm really not, first and foremost, concerned with, is this person capable of being president of the United States?"

"Kaine would have been a fine pick as a running mate to someone who had more experience than Obama...the top of the ticket was the problem with him"... tmed
I do believe you hit the nail on the head! #2 having less experience than #1 is a possible topic for discussion; #2 AND #1 having scant little experience combined is a possible *disaster*! Hence the reason BarryO picked JoeyB. Now there's a good discussion: #2 having MORE experience than #1! How often would that happen at a fortune 500 company??? Okay, all too often... see also Enron, Worldcom...

And it is relevent how again? You are sasuuming he is behind the scenes of this election - why is there such an effort to tie McCain to Bush?
He was the darling republican of the media because of the stands he took against the Bush admnistration - now that he may actually get elected, he's a Bush clone...
Be careful as you straddle that fence...
And since you have such disregard for my career, want to share what you do for a living? And can I get some fries with that?
See, I can be funny too....
