Media Take Out is a blog-style gossip website catering to African Americans. It claims to be "The Most Visited Black Website in the World" and has an Alexa ranking of 1,754 as of April 26, 2008.[1]
It is owned by entrepreneur Fred Mwangaguhunga.
Exclusives have been quoted by BET Style, MTV News, The NY Post’s Page Six, and popular radio personalities like Wendy Williams, Russ Parr, and Tom Joyner. According to the founder, “we get 90% of our stories from insiders looking to spill the beans – like hairstylists, bodyguards or bitter ex-girlfriends.”[2]

MTO has been said to be known For Starting Rumors/Lies and lacks basic grammatical skills and only perpetuating the negative stereotype of black people. They demand recognition when they are the first to report something, even go so far as to put their logo on it, but yet never give credits to the stories, videos, and pictures ect. they steal from other sites.[citation needed]
