thank you
Published Sep. 2, 2008I would like to say a personal thank you to the Obama Team and all of their supporters for the continued criticizing of Palin and her family. I can only speak for myself and the many families that I know personally with teenagers but all this has done is cement our support of her, her family, and the McCain campaign for Presidency.
Parenting, motherhood especially, requires many of the same job skills that Commander in Chief will need. Strong negotiating skills, conflict resolution, crisis management, budget management (oftentimes with little resources), the ability to plan and organize events for people of varying degrees of intelligence, the ability to withstand severe criticism, the ability to face and overcome challenges, the ability to be cool under pressure, working hours that often require you to be on call 24/7, and the ability to learn on the job.
For Sarah Palin to be a mother, to be raising her children, raising one with Down's Syndrom, to have a teenager that is not (gasp) perfect, and to be handling these situations with the grace that she is handling them in the face of what has been, to put it nicely, extreme rudeness from some, has only raised my opinion of her, as it has numerous others that I have talked to over the course of today.
She is not perfect. Her children are not perfect. She has challenges and faces them everyday and does not always know the answers. She is me. She is every mother with a teenager. She is every mother with a young child. She is every mother with a child that has a disability. She is the face of the American Family.
She has my support and I hope that Obama and his supporters continue to throw dirt her way. It only makes her shine all the more

i.e. If the daughter of someone who publicly touts the policy as much as this lady seems to can still end up pregnant at 17, maybe you might want to examine the validity of the policy itself a little more closely?

Taxpayer funding for abortions? That's almost as bad as Medicaid being directly proportional to how many out-of-wedlock children you pop out!

How nice.
Be sure and drop by my breakfast spread in the morning. I'll prepare you a special dish, with about 8 pounds of ex-lax in it. That ought to get maybe 10% of the dung out of you. ROFL

Pahleaze! You posted this blog to get EXACTLY the response that you got. This is what irresponsible blogging deserves...a good lambasting.
agree with meh, mudslinging is a totally bi-partison event...and blogs like this do nothing to change that.
