here's what you get when you put an "unknown" in the white house
Published Aug. 28, 2008Well former President Jimmy says, John McCain is “milking every possible drop of advantage" from his time served as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.
President Jimmy is certainly one to talk.
Jimmy Carter's one-term presidency is remembered for the events that overwhelmed it -- inflation, energy crisis, war in Afghanistan, and hostages in Iran. After one term in office, voters strongly rejected Jimmy Carter's gloomy outlook in favor of Ronald Reagan's telegenic optimism.
When elected in 1976 he was completely unknown on the national stage.
Carter was also deeply troubled by public scandals involving his family, including a mysterious $250,000 payment by the government of Libya to Carter's brother Billy.
If it is possible to have an emptier suit than Obama, this is the man. If anybody ever needed to keep his mouth shut former President Jimmy would be the top candidate.
…And he has the ding-dongs to talk down about McCain or anybody for that matter.
Well, the Dems have chosen another “completely unknown” to take a shot at the White House.
For those of you old enough to remember this old broken down disaster, HOLD ON. For those too young, please read up on him.
If one doesn’t know his or her history - - one is bound to repeat it, and it is in process.
I know some will opine about how he has done so much over the past several years to help so many, and that is proper and undeniable, but this is a man trying to die with some sort of decent legacy. He’s been working on it for 28 years now since leaving the White House and he is still a mentally deficient, spineless shell of a person. Throw another unknown in the White House; we can withstand anything (I think) for four years.
The Republicans will just have to mop up the mess in 2012.

Right and wrong. In reference to other blogs, the number of people selling Amway was ridiculous during the Carter Administration. The economy just tanked.
But as for hitting rock bottom, I can't see that we have far to go already, considering the job Jr. has done on the American economy.

That's a big lie. We got "Billy Beer". That's sumpin.
Carter was the most awful incompetent president we've had in modern times. Period.
He just needs to shut up and hammer nails or something.
