does the paint job make the car?

My buddy Mark Crain painted these realistic flames on a 1986 Trans Am. Looks like a true firebird now, eh? The man who owns the car is trying to sell it now... I have it listed on WRAL classifieds and craigslist.
The question is: would you buy a car because it has a cool paint job?
