As students and teachers on the traditional calendar return to class this week, it's a good time to refresh yourself on North Carolina's School Bus Stop Law.

Here's a quick explainer.

sort order: oldest first | newest first

Most drivers coming up to a red light with vehicles already waiting to go straight thru will pass on the right side/shoulder to turn right on red. I have been pulled over twice for doing this, once by a SHP , once by Apex police. I don't do this any more because they let me off with a warning. So please think twice before you get impatient with drivers like me! Oh yeah, the "ticket" they could have written me would have been for "impeding traffic"!?. The only time you can pass and turn right is when there is a yield sign at the intersedtion, I think...Comments?

LOL. When I saw this blog that is the first question I asked myself. On my way to work there are RR tracks and I just pass the stopped bus, but i'm always paranoid about it.
