20 most annoying things at the grocery store
Published August 7, 2008Views: 591
AOL did a survey and compiled the top 20 tihngs that most annoy people at grocery stores
1. Oversized Kid Mobiles. Those oversized car/truck shaped grocery carts are impossible to steer and difficult for other shoppers to get around
2. Forgot One Item. The person that holds up an entire line because they forgot "just one thing" or their money/checkbook/card in the car
3. PROLONGED temper tantrums. No one wants to hear a child scream for 30 minutes because he can't have a cookie. If the child's screams can be heard 4 aisles over and lasts for an extended period of time, shoppers ask parents to please leave the store. NOTE: sadly tantrums are not limited to kids. Shoppers also detest adults that throw tantrums because the store is out of a needed item
4. Aisle Blockers
5. Express Lane Abusers. 10 Items or less does not mean 57 items. Most people CAN count
6. Kids on Wheels. Whether pushing their own child sized carts or gliding on wheelies, shoppers hate those
7. Payment Procrastinator. You know the type. They wait until everything is rung up and bagged before looking for their money/checkbook/card
8. Let's Put Back The.....People that wait until the entire order is rung up and bagged before"realizing" they do not have enough money to pay for it and now are trying to decide which items to put back
9. Signs, Signs, Signs EVERYWHERE
10. The 10 for $10 trick. Do you really need 10 bags of chips?
11. Stores that leave food out past the expiration date
12. Carts With Problems
13. Non Private PIN pads
14. Stores with LOTS of closed lanes
15. Rough Cashiers. Squashing your bread, manhandling your fruit
16. Bit, It's On SALE! Items that not only don't ring up for the sale price but cashiers that get irate when you point it out
17. Check Out Belt Hogs. People who won't move up and out of the way when putting their items on the belt
18. Self Check Out Lanes. They never work properly
19. Where the Heck Is It? Store are forever rearranging their layout
20. Frosty Freezers. People that leave the freezer doors open so long that the next shopper can't see inside
Now it's your turn. What is your worst grocery store/shopping gripe?

Piggly Wiggly still has baggers that will bag all your groceries correctly (not putting cans on top of your bread). Then they will haul them out and load them in your car for you. They do like to get tipped a couple of dollars, but it is worth it to have all your groceries put away neatly in your trunk. I'd throw in an extra $5 if I could get them to come home with me and put them away in my cabinets as well.
And for the most part- it is no more expensive (and even cheaper for some things) than shopping at Food Lion or Wal-Mart.

Where do you shop? I can't ever seem to find green bananas. I hate buying ones that are already ripe, they go bad way too fast. My husband likes them green anyways! Please tell me where to find green banana's lol

People that overbuy and don't have enough on their goverment credit card and start handing items ----- after the groceries are usually bagged back to the cashier to credit.... but before they do that if they have more than 1 card they have to hold a mathematics class in the checkout line.
If they had any sense ---- they would have a cashier scan the cards when they come in so they would not overshop.
