The Nash County Sheriff’s Office has received two separate reports of a black SUV running lone females off the road in rural Nash County.
According to Lt. Pat Joyner, a call was received around 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning from a female who said a black SUV pulled into her lane causing her to run off the road on NC 33. The woman was on her way to work. She described the SUV as black with dark, tinted windows and occupied by two black males with white hoods over their faces.
A second call came in shortly after from another female saying a black SUV with tinted windows had pulled across the roadway in front of her causing her to stop. The incident happened on Swift Creek School Road, near NC 43.
The woman said a black male with blue jeans and a white hood over his face got out and pointed a gun at her, firing two shots. The woman then drove in a ditch and around the vehicle.
Joyner said no one was injured in the incident and the Sheriff’s Department is searching for the black SUV described by the two women. He added that so far, the only description available is the vehicle is a black SUV with tinted windows, occupied by two black males, one wearing blue jeans and both with white hoods covering their faces.
Joyner said at this time, there is nothing to indicate the incident is gang related.
“There’s nothing that indicates that it is but there’s nothing that indicates that it isn’t either,” Joyner said.
If anyone has any information about the SUV or the incidents, contact the Nash County Sheriff’s Office at 459-4121.
