speaking of the 80s... air guitar contests!

Woah... I just had a song catch me by surprise on my iPhone and it reminded me of air guitar contests. Remember those? (Umm... the song was "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin, in case ya'll were interested). ;)
I graduated from Enloe (that's in Raleigh, for the folks that are new to the Triangle), and we had an Air Guitar Contest at my high school every year back then.
Sooo... any of you people closet air guitar champs? Have any tales of your former glory with which to regale the GOLO masses?
Me, I never participated... as a girl, there are precious few guitarists one can emulate, unless you wanna go for Heart or something, and (don't hit me) I was never much of a fan of their music.

That's why hearing that song and all of a sudden remembering the fact that there used to be entire competitions based on air guitar was so amusing to me.
