The fact remains that the Catholic Church was complicit in the Holocaust like no other organization that remains around today. Silence is never enough. – Golo Poster

I went to read another blog on the illegal thing in San Francisco and this is what I find.

I responded with something written by a Jewish man studying the holocaust in Italy.  This is what he had to say about that time:

Probably the most systematic and comprehensive study of the Pope's and the hierarchy's handling of the Holocaust is Pinchas Lapide's 1967 book, Three Popes and the Jews. Lapide, an Israeli diplomat, was a member of the Palestinian Brigade that found many interned Jews in Italy at the end of World War II. After exhaustive research, Lapide concluded that at least 700,000 Jews, and more likely 860,000, owed their lives directly to the Church; he also concluded that Pius simply could not have done more than he did. The suggestion that Pius ought to have spoken more forcefully he treats with near derision; he quotes many Jewish leaders, many of them rescued by Catholics, to the effect that more forceful speeches would certainly not have caused the Nazis to moderate the persecutions, and would most probably have induced them to intensify them.

Not that the Pope was silent. As early as April 1935, as Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pacelli addressed 250,000 pilgrims at Lourdes: "These [Nazi] ideologues are in fact only miserable plagiarizers who dress up ancient error in new tinsel. It matters little whether they rally round the flag of the social revolution...or are possessed by the superstition of race and blood." He was responsible for the final wording of Pius XI's March 1937 encyclical, Mit brennender Sorge ("With burning sorrow"), and made it more strongly antiracist. The encyclical, the first ever written in German, was read in all German churches on Palm Sunday; the Nazi Foreign Office characterized it as "a call to battle…as it calls upon Catholic citizens to rebel against the authority of the Reich.

Oh and by the way here are some organizations that are still around after actually working with the Nazis.

HUGO BOSS : Hugo Boss manufactured the sleek all-black uniforms for the Schultzstaffel, better known as the SS. While today Boss uses black for slimming effects, in the SS uniforms it was used to command respect and fear in the populace.

Volkswagen:  What's more surprising, however, is that Porsche's partner in masterminding the Beetle was also the mastermind of World War II: that crazy, affable buffoon Hitler. Hitler specifically wanted a cheap, sturdy vehicle everyone in Germany would be able to drive. Being the opportunistic businessman that he was, Porsche quickly whipped up the Volkswagen Beetle and lobbied heavily for the Fuhrer's approval.

IBM : Of course, once the war started, most American businesses cut ties with Hitler. IBM, on the other hand, decided to stick around and see where he was going with this whole final solution thing.  Back in those days, the only way to keep track of huge databases was with an extremely complicated system involving punch cards, and IBM was the best at constructing and maintaining those databases. IBM's punch card databases could keep track of anything: financial ledgers, medical records, Jews. According to a book a guy wrote about it, as soon as the Nazis invaded a country, they would overhaul the census system using IBM punch cards. Then they'd track down every Jew, Gypsy and any other non-Aryan until they were all rounded up onto cattle carts. And, next stop wasn't Space Mountain.

Bayer : Then again, it's probably even worse to name your team after the company that made Zyklon B gas, the stuff that killed millions of people in the concentration camps. Yep, Bayer was once part of a large conglomerate, IG Farben, that churned out thousands of killer Zyklon-B gas canisters.  Bayer, though, has continued some of its old douchebaggery into the modern era. First off, Aspirin was invented by a Jewish man, Arthur Eichengrun, whose name Bayer still refuses to acknowledge. To this day, the "official" history of the company denies Eichengrun's involvement in the invention of aspirin, and states that an Aryan invented the drug, because as we all know, Aryans are better at everything.

Siemens :  When Hitler rose to power in the 1930s, it was the signal for the Siemens executives to start building factories, and nowhere was the real estate better than near the homey neighborhoods of Auschwitz and Buchenwald.  At the height of the Nazi terror during the 1940s, it was not atypical for a slave worker to build electrical switches for Siemens in the morning and be snuffed out in a Siemens-made gas chamber in the afternoon.  Well, a few years ago, in an act of insensitive a&&ery so colossal it could blot out the sun, Siemens tried to trademark the name "Zyklon" with the intent of marketing a series of products under the name. Including gas ovens.

Rant over hopefully

Bush bashing? Dang. I thought I was bashing Fords since VWs and Porches got bashted too. Guess I'll go back and reread my copy of The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion again.

"become part of"

the digestive process...

"he was said to be holding up a piece of bread. Right???"

You know a lot of people also think he is white, right? The point is there is no implication that he was speaking figuratively. He flat out said: "Yes."

Also in that scripture, eat means partake or become part of. It doesn't mean to gnaw with one's teeth.

In order to understand how this works, one has to study it in the language it was written on which in this case is Greek. Not that one has to understand Greek.

Go to searchgodsword.com and look up the scripture. Then click the link for Greek then look up a Greek/English dictionary online.

Not all things translate exactly, and furthermore to complicate matters, not all Greek or Aramaic words mean the same thing now as they did then.

For instance, in some scriptures, the word "translated" means "transported" nowadays.

Fun, huh!

God bless.

Rev. RB

Ya'all - If you've ever taken a Bayer aspirin, you're a part of this whole thing. Aren't you???

God bless.

Rev. RB

Smorgas - I knew there wasn't anything that could be shared anywhere without someone Bush bashing.

Get a life!

God bless.

Rev. RB

Cleo - You do realize when Jesus shared the above scripture, he was said to be holding up a piece of bread. Right???

God bless.

Rev. RB

You go Cleo!!!

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven. 52 If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world. 53 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 54 Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen, I say unto you: except you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his , you shall not have life in you."

So when the Jewish leaders said: Um, buddy what are you saying, we are going to eat your arms and legs? And then Jesus said: Bingo!, we are assuming he meant that figuratively?

The list of companies and individuals that made money from Nazi Germany is very lengthy. Famed antisemitic Henry Ford was one.

And, of course, there's that good ol' boy who made a staggering fortune from them (and provided us with two presidents), Prescott Bush.

Maybe the one with the mistaken history postings should stick to modern history. The 'catholics killed the jews' schtick doesn't garner half the audience that a good "I saw Bigfoot in Cary Towne Plaza" story does.
