moon-walker claims alien contact cover-up
Published Jul. 24, 2008
Do you believe in Aliens?
I go back and forth on this myself. On one hand you have the vastness of space so the probability of intelligent life existing separate from our own is fairly high. Yet the very vastness of space makes any creature finding another creature down right difficult.
Just because every sci-fi book, tv show, or movie ever written has interstellar travel, does not diminish the true difficulty of actually achieving it. This is a pretty huge barrier that great people have been working on for some time. Einstein’s E=MC2 equation means that the closer that we came to the speed of light the more energy we would need so that before reaching the speed of light we would need nearly infinite energy. Since interstellar travel would require greater than light speed travel if you wanted to get there in a person’s lifetime, it would seem this is going to be tough.
Do you believe we have been visited by aliens?”
Well if we have been visited by extraterrestrials then they have figured out how to travel faster than the speed of light so they will obviously be far more advanced than us in technology. They may see us as we see lower life forms on our own planet which would make us creatures for study which may explain why they don’t show themselves. We could also be on an intergalactic reality show. Tune in to see what those crazy humans are doing today!
Here is what a former astronaut who walked on the moon has to say (Link to full article at the bottom)
FORMER NASA astronaut and moon-walker Dr Edgar Mitchell - a veteran of the Apollo 14 mission - has stunningly claimed aliens exist.
And he says extra-terrestrials have visited Earth on several occasions - but the alien contact has been repeatedly covered up by governments for six decades.
Dr Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview that sources at the space agency who had had contact with aliens described the beings as 'little people who look strange to us.'
He said supposedly real-life ET's were similar to the traditional image of a small frame, large eyes and head.
Dr Mitchell, along with with Apollo 14 commander Alan Shepard, holds the record for the longest ever moon walk, at nine hours and 17 minutes following their 1971 mission.
"I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we've been visited on this planet and the UFO phenomena is real," Dr Mitchell said.
"It's been well covered up by all our governments for the last 60 years or so, but slowly it's leaked out and some of us have been privileged to have been briefed on some of it.
"I've been in military and intelligence circles, who know that beneath the surface of what has been public knowledge, yes - we have been visited. Reading the papers recently, it's been happening quite a bit."
Dr Mitchell, who has a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautical engineering and a Doctor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics claimed Roswell was real and similar alien visits continue to be investigated.
In a statement, a spokesman said: "NASA does not track UFOs. NASA is not involved in any sort of cover up about alien life on this planet or anywhere in the universe.
'Dr Mitchell is a great American, but we do not share his opinions on this issue.'

The "Drake Equation" for predicting the approximate number of possible technological civilizations is a fun little exercise - and makes us consider that very thing. It wasn't that long ago that our ancestors were beating each other to death with sticks...then it was spears...swords....guns. Now here we sit still possessing our propensity for armed conflict, only now we have laser-guided goodies and a cornucopia of 'WMD' to choose from. We'll be lucky to survive our own violent tendencies - given how easy it is to wipe ourselves off the map.

I wouldn't mind meeting this particular Gallifreyan's good friend who heads up that office in Cardiff, either.

"Knowledge is indivisible. When people grow wise in one direction, they are sure to make it easier for themselves to grow wise in other directions as well." (Isaac Asimov)
Just because mankind does not now know how to travel at such speeds does not mean some distant generation will not posses that knowledge and I believe sometime in the future man will evolve to such a point. That is of course if some j@ck@zz doesn't start WWIII and the whole kit and caboodle goes up in ashes.

For the big bang theorists, there is a theory that states that items moving through space do not travel at the same consistent speed. As time goes their velocity increases. Given this, using the original debris from the big bang, wouldn't items from that be moving beyond the speed of light at this point? Eventually, anything that is consistantly moving through space, wouldn't it move beyond the speed of light, if it's velocity is steadily increasing? Is it really so un-imaginable the possibility under that same theory, that some where - a life form may have developed technology to harness that type of velocity?.....
Just random thoughts.... yes, I actually do think stuff like this on a daily basis. Be afraid. wait till I'm on pain meds - that should be fun
