the flying refrigerator
Published Jul. 23, 2008Admission at the Pearly Gates There was this man who suspected his wife of having an affair. He came home early one day and caught her in bed but no one was in sight. He looked all around and finally found four fingers clutching to the window ledge. He yelled, “Ah! Ha! I got you. You dirty sob. The hubby gathered a hammer and began to pound on the fingers until they let go and the man fell but he landed in a great shrub and was not dead. He was struggling to get up when the spurned hubby saw his movement and he quickly got behind the fridge and pushed it to the window. Straining hard he managed to get the fridge out of the window. As the Coldspot left the window it caught his pants leg and pulled the old man out with it. It fell on the person in the bush killing him and the hubby died from the fall. Both men stood before Saint Peter seeking entrance to the Pearly Gate. Pete asked them how they got there. The first said, “Well I fell from my patio and managed to catch on a window sill below but someone beat my fingers and made me fall. Then out of nowhere a refrigerator fell on me and killed me.” The dejected husband told how he was trying to push a refrigerator out a window and got caught on the frame and it pulled him out with it which resulted in his death. Just then a third man approached St. Peter and he had to tell how he got there.
The third man said, “Well, I was hiding in this refrigerator …”
