life hates me

Saturday night I took a friend to visit some friends out in country, misjudged the driveway, and pulled into the ditch. Came back less then 10 hours later to access situation and see what I needed to do; Sheriff's Dept. had shown up while I was gone and had it towed. I find the towing place, beg them to let me come pick it up Sunday as I needed it for work. They charged me $205 for towing and "weekend" pickup. I get around the corner and through the gate to get in it, and they had busted the tie rod and front grill when they pulled it out. Can't drive it, and they hadn't even told me this before I paid. Now I'm trying to get it fixed and have no money. I live 23 miles from work and work from 6 am to 2:30. I got a ride today, but not sure how I'm gonna get through the rest of the week.

SUE THE TOWING COMPANY!!! They're responsible for any additional damage done while towing or pulling a vehicle. I KNOW. My friend owns a towing company, and he won't even pull a car out of a ditch unless he's sure he can do it without damaging it.
In the meantime, don't be anxious. There's a plan in place for contingencies like this. Just be calm and watch for it to appear.
Praying for you.
God bless.

As for the comment of a rent-a-car....You have to have a credit card to rent a car, and if she had a credit card, she would have called a wrecker promptly and been there to see that the car was taken out more carefully. (unless you were drinking?)
Blondton, you, like a lot of us, are living too close to the line, with no savings for such things.
Unless you have family and friends who trust you enough to bail you out, you are going to have to bunk in with someone close to work, or press on a friend to get you into your job. You have to MAKE money right now.
Car trouble is one of the most predictable of problems, but seem to catch us all at the worst time, and give us a hard time.
This is one of life's lessons so you won't be caught in this position again. I know people who have this panic every time their car breaks and they need a new one. I've been there and done that...this isn't j
