how far do you commute?
Published Jul. 19, 2008With gas continuing to rise, everyone is looking for ways to cut back. But if you work, you absolutely have that expense built into your budget. Sure , you can carpool in some cases, mass transit for others works, but a lot of us are locked into a single user vehicle to get to and from work. Depending on the route I take, as I alternate to keep from getting jaded at the scenery, my mileage runs between 18 and 22 miles one way to work, giving me 36 to 44 miles round trip. Better than some I know, but others have much shorter drives to earn that paycheck. How far do you have to drive or ride, and how are you adjusting to the added costs these days just to earn your daily bread?
