the real me, nothing to hide

Hello, My name is Garry AKA MOHAWK. I attended the GOLO birthday party and met a lot of nice people. I grew up in Southwest Virginia, joined the Air Force out of high school at 17. Went to Viet Nam (1965-1966) along with many other tours. Served 20+ years active duty and retired. Rejoined the Air Force as a civilian, served almost 22 more years. I worked as a communications and computer specialist. My last tour I ran the Information Assurance/Information Protection Division at the Air Force Communications Agency, Scott AFB, Illinois. I have a wonderful wife (41 years) and 2 children with 3 grandchildren. I retired in Oct 2006 and moved to Raleigh to be close to my daughter and 2 of my grandchildren, grandson, (7), and grandaughter (2). Life with the kids has been absolutely wonderful. I wouldn't have it any other way. My grandaugter was born about 4 months before I moved here so I've seen her most every day of her life, at least since she has started walking and talking. Now she's running everything. My son and other grandson (6) live in Thorsby, Alabama. All of the boys went to Washington DC over the 4th of July weekend (see gallery). I wanted to make sure the young ones saw some of the things that I belive are important to this country. We all attended my mom's 80th birthday party this past weekend in Southwest Virginia. For me the "MEANING OF LIFE" is all about taking care of these children to ensure their success, this great country of ours, the freedoms we have, and all my wonderful friends. Hope to be with you all a long long time.
PS: I love to hunt, fish, and ride the bike.
