And as far as credit rating is concerned, many business owners have bad or nonexistent credit ratings. In my case, it is because I rarely use credit at all, have no credit cards, and as a business owner have been sued several times even though I won all of them. Banks also have difficulty understanding the complicated tax forms that business owners use. They are far more comfortable with just seeing paycheck stubs and simple 1040EZ forms, neither of which we have, at least in a form that the average loan office understands.
