Time to meet Riley! He's the next dog in our Bad Dog! challenge tonight on WRAL's 5:30 News. This Lhasapoo barks, bites, growls and steals out of the garbage one minute; then, he's sweet and playful the next! His owner, Jordan, is a young, single Raleigh woman who has a hard time inviting company to her home because Riley attacks anyone who tries to get near her. That hasn't been so good for Jordan's love life! She's embarrassed by his behavior and scared to take him to family functions, not knowing if he'll bite anyone. Jenny from Bark Busters worked with Jordan and her cousin, Sandy, for a few hours and had Riley changing many of his bad manners by the end of the session. With patience, consistency, and a water bottle (you'll see in our story!), Jordan learned some techniques to make her the pack leader, not Riley. Several people who entered this challenge raised the issue of aggressive dogs. Hopefully, Riley's story will help you see there's hope for your dog, too!
