does anyone know what the original religion was?

Published Jul. 16, 2008

Nothing really prompts this question, but pure curiosity.  Does anyone know what the original religion was?

In loving memory of Honey.

"Adam knew God and walked with Him in the garden in the cool of the day. And Eve sat in the river, for which Adam spake, "Eve, we'll never get that smell out of the fish."

I would think Jewish since most of the people in the beginning of the Old Testament is Jewish.

Depending on what happened to neanderthals (either died out or assilimated), the first evidence of some form of religion may not even belong to modern humans. In graves there have been items found that suggested they believed in an after life.

"When something bame alive in Adam"

Should have read something came alive in Adam

Originally speaking,

Adam knew God and walked with Him in the garden in the cool of the day. At that time Adam was in a state of innocence because he had not been proven faithful to God's command. There was only one command and that was of the"thou shalt not" variety. God said, "you may eat of every tree in the garden except one."

God said don't; he did! Adam failed the test and the day (age) of innocence came to an end.

After that time was the age of conscience. When something bame alive in Adam and persisted with him to make Him know right from wrong.

Does any of this make application to the first religion?

Now if you are an evolutionist please disregard this message.

In reference to the druids . here is the story on that---

The Druids were the Magi or philosopher-magicians of the early Celtic civilization. Druid history dates back to the migration of the Indo-European-speaking people in the second millennium B.C. (approximately 4000 years ago) when nomadic tribes who occupied the area around the Caspian Sea in southern Russia began to migrate southeast-ward into the Indus Valley (India) and westward into Asia Minor the Balkans and the European plain. Around the tenth century B.C. a people recognizably Celtic began to emerge from Bohemia (in western Czechoslovakia). In the eighth to the sixth centuries B.C. they began to migrate down into Italy and Spain and further west into France and Belgium and eventually into the British Isles. That proves they were not first.............r

While, up until now, scholars have largely held that man's first rituals were carried out over 40,000 years ago in Europe, it now appears that they were wrong about both the time and place. Associate Professor Sheila Coulson, from the Oslo University, however claims to have proof that modern humans started performing advanced rituals in Africa 70,000 years ago. She discovered mankind's oldest known ritual in Botswana.

DJ - I just read it again. I have a telescope and will be on my deck the next few nights. By the way - you are very intuitive :-)

Thanks :-)

The druids were around long before the hindus.....Christianity only came about after the political statement made by the romans at the urging of the jewish pharise's due to thier feeling "threatened" by some guy named Jesus. Trublue in Wake County

sorry but you are completely wrong.
